A 21-year old line worker from a local factory has been placed behind bars after a traffic accident.

Murfreesboro Police responded to Cason Lane where they met with passenger Collin Russell who appeared to be very unsteady on his feet, according to an arrest report. Russell told officers his prescription medications were causing him to be unsteady on his feet.

Police questioned Russell further and asked to see his prescription medication bottles. The report that WGNS obtained shows that Russell voluntarily handed police the bottles. The problem that Russell ran into was that he had a single prescription for Oxymorphone, but had pill bottles allegedly containing Xanax, Roxicodone, Subutex and Oxymorphone.  One of the pill bottles turned out to be his fathers, who was in the vehicle as well, but police noted that the son had the bottle in his coat pocket.

Russell will have to explain the pills to a judge. He was taken to jail and charged with public intoxication, simple possession of a schedule III drug, manufacturing / delivering or sale of a schedule IV drug and a schedule II drug.
