A man and a woman were arrested at a room in the Ramada Inn on South Church Street this past Thursday. The two are accused by police of selling drugs out of one of the rooms. Apparently someone at the hotel suspected the two were selling drugs after witnessing increased foot traffic to and from the room.

When police knocked on the door and asked the two suspects if they could enter the room, they granted the two officers permission. Once inside Officer Carroll wrote, “I noticed needle tops and uncapped syringes lying on the floor.” When searching the small hotel room, police also found two subjects hiding in the bathroom. When the two persons could not tell police the name of the person they were visiting, officers indicated that it further led them to believe drugs were being sold on the premises.

Dustin Brown was also charged with violation of probation for three previous counts of driving on a suspended license. The two live together on Double Springs Road in Murfreesboro. According to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office at 6:24, Friday evening (2/15/13), the two have not made bond and remain behind bars.
