The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), design consultants, and the City of Murfreesboro will conduct a joint public meeting in the cafeteria of Siegel Elementary School Tuesday, June 2, 2015, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., to provide opportunity for public comment on the proposed Thompson Lane (SR-268) widening project. Siegel Elementary School is located at 135 West Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

The 4.3 mile widening project from SR-1 (US 70S, NW Broad St.) to SR-10 (US 231, Memorial Boulevard) will widen the existing 2-lane road to 5 lanes. The widening will provide 2 travel lanes in each direction would include a center turn lane, bike lanes, curbs and sidewalks.

Representatives from TDOT and design firm engineers, Wiser Consultants, will provide a brief project presentation during the public meeting. The public will be given time to review and provide public comment. In addition, public comment sheets will be available for the public to provide written input on the proposed widening within a 21-day period.
