The groundbreaking for Linebaugh Library's Technology Engagement Center took place in the lunch hour on Tuesday (5/23/2017) at the rear of the Hobgood Elementary School campus.

The new Technology Engagement Center will offer WiFi at no charge, as well as a staff who will help residents with technology challenges, and provide meeting space and rooms for individual presentations as well as group gatherings.

Shacklett noted that 41 per cent of the people here in Rutherford County do not have internet, and Linebaugh's Technology Engagement Center will provide that service at no fee.


In addition to hearing from community leaders, the Hobgood Elementary School choir encouraged everyone to "Grab Hold Of Your Dreams".

Again, groundbreaking on Linebaugh Public Library's Technology Engagement Center took place at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon, and forecasts call for the facility to be finished early in 2018.
