Teen Accused of Assaulting Football Coach Stays in Custody

The teenager charged with the felony aggravated assault of Riverdale football coach Ron Aydelott will remain in custody until his trial. That trial will begin next week on June 4th. The juvenile court judge ruled the teen was too much of a risk to himself and society to be released. The juvenile is accused of attacking Aydelott in his office April 21st, causing serious injuries. The coach had to have surgery to repair a broken jaw, broken nose and broken eye socket. The trial for the accused teen will begin at 9am on June 4th.
