Teens Accused of Stealing Beer and Breaking Into Cars in Murfreesboro

Teens in Murfreesboro Allegedly Steal:

  • Three 12-pack’s of Bud Light Platinum
  • A 12-pack of Miller Light
  • A Case of Corona Light
  • Two 12-packs of Michelob Ultra
  • One Case of Budweiser
  • One 12-Pack of Bud Light

A juvenile and an 18-year old have been arrested and accused of stealing over $400 worth of beer from the Kroger store on Old Fort Parkway at Cason Lane. In case you’re curious, that adds up to over 100 cans of brew. Police say they found the suspects behind the theft in after receiving a suspicious vehicle call on Shady Forrest Drive off of St. Andrews Drive.

When police located the teens at 5:00 in the morning on Saturday it was noted in the report that one of the two was “heavily intoxicated.” Police also found information that led them to file charges of not only theft, but also burglary against the teens. They were accused of breaking into two cars in the area.

The report shows that most of the stolen beer was returned to the store. However, the teens do face a long list of charges that include burglary to an auto, theft, public intoxication and consumption of alcohol under the age of 21. They will be in court on September 26th.
