Templeton Retiring from Street & Sign Department

After 34 years with the City of Murfreesboro, Street and Sign Department Director Rick Templeton will retire July 1. Part of the reason, he said, is that at 58 but still an outdoor, physical person, he wanted to retire when he could still do the things he wanted to do – like ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle to California, something he’s planning to do. “I’ll take a ride out there,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to do that.” He said he’ll attempt to visit all the national parks he can while on the trip; parks like Yosemite and Yellow Stone National Park.
