Tennessee Lawmakers will be limited on the number of bills they can file

About 4,600 bills are presented every two years in the Tennessee General Assembly. Local State Senator Bill Ketron told us that lawmakers will be limited on what they can file during this session…

Sen. Ketron told us that each bill filed costs the state around $1,200. Broken down, that means that of the roughly 4,600 bills filed in the past two years the cost to the state was well over $5.5-million.  Of that number, only about 600 pass.
