MURFREESBORO - Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) will host its 5th Annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 9 at 11 a.m., at its Alvin C. York campus at 3400 Lebanon Road.
The theme of this year's parade is "A Salute to our Female Veterans: Past, Present and Future." This annual event brings a high-quality parade to more than 150 Veterans who live or are temporarily staying at the York facility.
"We present this parade each year so that Veterans can experience the parade without leaving the comfort of their home," said Brandi Majerus, TVHS Veterans Day parade coordinator. "It is a joy to see the look on their faces."
Entertainment begins at 10 a.m. with music by Nashville musician and TVHS employee Doug Toalston. There will be more than 40 groups participating in the parade.
The grand marshals for this year's event are Navy Veteran Rhonda Pinkerman, and Army Veterans Renee B. Fancher and Bill J. Wilson.
The event is free and open to the public.
