Here is a THANKSGIVING story with a "happy ending". Well, it really doesn't end--Room In The Inn continues to make a difference to homeless in Murfreesboro.

For approximately 25-years Room In The Inn has been the "love and life" of Christine Huddleston. She and her late husband were the facilities' main source of support up to his death about a decade ago.

Now as the program has grown, Christine still oversees the operation, and still is a volunteer. She helps daily, and has made a difference in the lives of many.

Making A Difference

She has been invited to celebrate the graduation of a Room In The Inn alumni each commencement at MTSU over the past 25-years.

Some of the current Room In The Inn volunteers formerly were clients of the program. It made a difference in their lives, and they are giving back.

At 81, Christine says, "I'm healthy and thankful to be able to continue to see that Room In The Inn stays alive to serve our community."

She hears a THANKSGIVING story every day, and you too can become a volunteer and discover the difference you can make in the lives of others.

Thanksgiving Lunches Offered

Room In The Inn is offering free Thanksgiving lunches from 11:30 this morning until 1:00 this afternoon (11/28/2013). They are located at 640 West Main Street.

If you are unable to get out and come by the facility, Huddleston encouraged the public to phone 615-896-7016 to get a meal delivered to you within the Murfreesboro city limits.

They also need volunteers to deliver the meals. If you can do that, come by Room In The Inn (640 West Main Street) at 11:00 o'clock this morning.

Listen to this Thanksgiving broadcast and learn how you can make a difference in others lives, and realize how much we have for which to be thankful.
