The “Funnest 5k on the Planet” plans for thousands on September 22nd.
Wash Me Pink, the funnest color run to hit the market, will debut in Murfreesboro on September 22, 2013. The event will be held at St. Thomas Hospital (formerly MTMC) and will start in waves at 9:00 AM. Registration for the event is open at www.washmepinkkomen.com
Participation in, and buzz for, Wash Me Pink has exploded since its debut this year. The combination of color fun and helping an incredible organization such as the Susan G Komen Foundation is a win-win for everyone involved. Not only do people get to go out and have fun by doing something healthy, the money raised goes to help women with breast cancer and funds research to stop the deadly disease.
With no winners or official times, Wash Me Pink celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality, bringing the community together to create a five-kilometer canvas of colorful fun in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer.
"We call Wash Me Pink the 'funnest 5K on the planet' because our events bring together friends and family in a unique, healthy, and fun environment," said Denny Marshall, co-founder of Wash Me Pink. "Our only rules are that people wear white and prepare to be covered in color at the finish!"
