The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties recently hosted its third annual Community Baby Shower, in partnership with the Rutherford County Health Department and presented by Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, to benefit mothers and newborns in Rutherford and Cannon counties. More than 17,000 items were collected and assembled into 500 bags at the Community Baby Shower Sort-a-Thon.

The baby bags were provided to new or expectant mothers during United Way's Community Baby Shower. Participants took advantage of educational workshops and resources from 50 community vendors. The Saint Thomas Mobile Health Unit was
