Rutherford County Coalition Against Child Abuse is taking part in "Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee's (PCAT's) Pinwheels for Prevention®" campaign by planting a pinwheel garden in honor of the happy, healthy childhood all children deserve.
The garden will be planted at Rutherford County Juvenile Court on April 17, 2015 at 8 am. The Coalition will also present the General William Whitesell award at 1 pm at the Rutherford County Department of Children's Services. This award is presented annually to an individual that had demonstrated outstanding service to the children and families of Rutherford County.
This is a free event and open to the public.
Prevent Child Abuse America launched the national Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign in April of 2008. This public awareness campaign uses community activities and public policies to prioritize prevention right from the start, making sure child abuse and neglect never occur.
