It is not positive news for Sheriff Robert Arnold of Rutherford County. The Tennessee Sheriffs' Association has suspended Arnold.

The suspension took place last Monday (9/26/16).

In the past, Terry Ashe, the director of the association suggested that it was unfair that Sheriff Arnold would continue to receive his paycheck while jailed after his bond was revoked. However, state law allows for that to happen. So, Arnold will continue to receive his monthly paycheck.

Sheriff Arnold will face 14 charges in a federal courtroom on February 7, 2016. If he is convicted of all 14 charges, he could be sentenced to 95 years behind bars.
