This weekend will be a very busy one all over the state because of the tax free holiday. In addition to your back to school savings, there will be fun times to be had by all in Murfreesboro, Lascassas and Auburntown!

The Lascassas Volunteer Fire Department, Lascassas Community Ball Club, and the Lascassas / Milton Lions Club have joined forces to present the first-ever Lascassas Summer Jam this coming Friday night at 5:00 o'clock (8/2/2013).
 
Volunteer Lascassas Fire spokesperson Trey Nunley told WGNS News musical groups like the Walker Howell Band, Rhett McDonald (son of Lonestar's Rich McDonald), and The Van Lears will perform at the event geared towards families and children. 
 
Additional Activities Friday Night on M'boro Square: 
 
The Main Street Friday Night Live concerts series will continue on Friday night in front of the Rutherford County Courthouse. The group Dirty Proper will perform at 6:30 on the square. The event is FREE. 
 
Visit Beautiful Auburntown Friday or Saturday:
 
Auburntown's annual Red Apple Days will get underway Friday night with various gospel acts.  The two day event will feature a 5K run on Saturday along with a full sized parade and more entertainment that will continue all day on Saturday.
