A special police watch has been placed on a residence located on Eventide Drive in Murfreesboro after a threatening phone call.

A senior citizen called the police and said that he received a call from a number he did not recognize. When he answered, the male voice on the other end of the line told him his front porch light was on. The caller then invited the homeowner to meet him in the street. However, no one was seen outside.

The following day a second call came in threatening to make a visit to the homeowner. The caller made a statement to the homeowners wife, "I shoot pretty straight, but sometimes hit the wrong person."

While it is not known who may have made the threats, police are watching the home closely.
