A pick-up truck from Georgia hauling a trailer jackknifed on I-24 near the South Church Street exit on Friday night around 5:30 causing a three car accident. Evidently the driver of the truck wrecked as he was attempting to avoid traffic that was stopped on the interstate.

The truck first crashed into a Ford Mustang and then into a Chevy Suburban. The Jaws of Life had to be called in to free a female from the Mustang. Once out of the wreckage it was realized that she had injury to her arm. She was transported to the hospital and a full recovery is likely. No one else was injured in the accident.
