It was just one day ago that WGNS reported a vandalism and theft story that took place at a local Laundromat. We have now learned that three arrests have been made in connection with that incident.

The incident occurred at Clean Threads Laundromat on Northfield Blvd. Suspects broke open five machines in order to steal change from the coin boxes attached to the machines. The damage to the washer’s and dryer’s proved to be more costly than the theft itself. The vandalism will cost the business owner about 5-times more than the actual theft of the change inside the machines.

All three of the arrested suspects work at the same fast food restaurant on Memorial Boulevard. Their record of arrest, on file with the MPD, shows that each of the three were charged with one count of burglary and four counts of vandalism. The report also shows that all three admitted to their involvement in the recent crime streak. Apparently, the suspects are also accused of trying to break into machines at two other businesses, but were unsuccessful.

The following were apprehended:

25-Year old Charles Gains from Murfreesboro
34-Year old Diane Harrison from Murfreesboro
35-Year old James Edward Tittle from Murfreesboro

All three of the suspects are scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court next month.
