(MURFREESBORO) At 9:18AM Thursday (9/18/2019) morning, Rutherford County Fire and Rescue was called to a structure fire in the 200 block of Rucker Road.
Once on the scene, firefighters saw a shed that was fully engulfed in flames.
The fire quickly spread to a pickup truck that was parked between the shed and the home. Then the wood frame home ignited.
With over 1100 ft of hose laid out, multiple firefighters attacked the blaze successfully extinguishing fire in all areas. The residents and pets safely escaped the dwelling with no injuries, and the American Red Cross helped the residents.
Units from Rutherford County Fire and Rescue, along with volunteers from Christiana fought the blaze. Rutherford County Sheriffs Office controlled the traffic on the busy and yet narrow roadway. Plus, paramedics with Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services were on-the-scene.
The cause of the fire is being investigated at this time.
