The Tennessee Department of Tourism reports about 110-million people visited the state in 2016, that's up over four-percent from 2015.

The biggest gains were in leisure travelers, who stay overnight. This is National Tourism Week and state officials will mark it with special events at the over a dozen welcome centers statewide.
