The Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Depatment personnel and many other volunteers throughout the community helped make Christmas special for several families in Murfreesboro during the Toys for Tots Giveaway Saturday, December 13.

Registered families received toys for their children at Joywood Cumberland Presbyterian Church located at 7120 Old Nashville Highway.

A total of 916 families registered for the giveaway and a total of 896 families were served at Saturday's event.

"A special thanks to all the volunteers who participated," said Assistant Fire Marshal Michael Bartlett. "The smiles on the children's faces were priceless."

MFRD will continue to accept new, unwrapped toys at any of our nine fire stations or Fire Administration through the end of the year.
