Sheriff Robert Arnold maybe facing numerous federal charges in a federal courtroom this coming February (2017), but that has not slowed him down at all.
Traveling continues for Rutherford County Sheriff Arnold. Reports indicate his next trip will be to beautiful San Antonio, Texas followed by a trip to San Diego, California.
Keep in mind that this past May, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jack Smith stated in a press conference that Sheriff Arnold, Joe Russell, his Chief Deputy of Administration and Arnolds Uncle John Vanderveer, were facing multiple federal charges...
The upcoming San Antonio trip will cost close to $1,500 for airfare and a hotel stay while San Diego is expected to cost closer to $2,000. Keep in mind, the travel is reportedly for training and seminars for law enforcement.
About one month ago, Sheriff Arnold was in Washington DC for a training seminar presented by the U.S. Justice Department. That trip included a stop at the Whitehouse.
Later, the Sheriff headed to Sevierville, Tennessee for just over $1,650 for a different seminar. Then, a trip to Orlando for another event presented for law enforcement cost $1,600 in Orlando, Florida.
Just a few weeks back, the Sheriff was in New Jersey for yet another law enforcement event. The bill on that trip rang in at approximately $2,800.
The travel is paid for by the Rutherford County Government.
Arnold was elected as Sheriff in 2010 and later reelected in August of 2014.
