Sheriff's deputies, firefighters and paramedics will hand out candy from cruisers, fire engines and ambulances for kids who are fascinated by emergency vehicles.

Sheriff Robert Arnold said parents can bring children ages 12 and under to this safe event.

"My children look forward to Trunk or Treat here every year," Sheriff Arnold said. "This is a safe location for children to trick or treat with many fun activities geared to children."

Sgt. Jimmy Cassidy of the Community Services Unit said the event will feature hayrides around the Sheriff's Office property, corn hole games, a hula hoop and monster truck.

For parents who don't want to cook dinner, the Sheriff's Office Explorers will sell hot pizza from Domino's Pizza truck, the Citizens' Sheriff's Academy Alumni Association will sell cider and hot chocolate and vendor Ernest Patterson will sell his famous funnel cakes and frozen bananas.
