Here's an update on a shooting you heard about on WGNS when it was happening Tuesday night. Shortly before 7:00 o'clock Murfreesboro Police responded to a shooting at the Regions Bank ATM machine at 1681 Middle Tennessee Boulevard.

Murfreesboro Police Officer Cherrie Fulghum spoke with the victim, Frank Yost, who had a bullet wound on his left thigh. He told police that a black male, approximately 5-foot 10-inches tall, and weighing around 150 pounds, approached him from the rear while Yost was standing beside his vehicle, getting money from the ATM machine.

The victim said the man was in mid 20s to early 30s, and was wearing a gray hoodie and dark colored slacks.

Yost said the man demanded the money, but Yost reportedly refused and attempted to get into his car. At that point, the suspect allegedly fired one shot with a silver handgun.

The incident was confirmed by a female passenger, who was in Yost's vehicle. The Thrush Place, 66-year old resident, was then taken by the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services' ambulance to Vanderbilt Trauma Center.
