Rutherford County had five Tennessee Titans Mr. Football semifinalists. That list was narrowed to two finalists on Monday.

Oakland's JaCoby Stevens is finalist for Class 6A Back of the Year. Siegel kicker Jacob Smith is one of two Kicker of the Year finalists.

The other semifinalists from Rutherford County were Taeler Dowdy of Blackman, who was in the group of four with Stevens for 6A Back. Oakland's Ty Nix was a 6A Lineman semifinalist while La Vergne's Maleik Gray was a 5A Lineman semifinalist.

The Mr. Football Awards luncheon for finalists will be held at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on November 30th. The awards are selected by a committee of statewide sports writers based on regular season performance with character and academics also playing a part in the selection.
