Two men face child rape charges

Two men have been indicted by the March Rutherford County grand jury on child rape charges.

The Rutherford County Courts show that Kyle James Campbell is facing two counts of rape of a child charges and two counts of aggravated sexual battery charges. Campbell will appear in court on Monday.

Campbell was charged with the crimes while already behind bars for a previously committed unrelated crime. That unrelated crime allegedly involved the attempted murder of someone. 


According to the original police report filed in September of 2012, Campbell is accused of molesting a 7-year old girl. Campbell reportedly admitted to the accusations on September 12th during a police interview. His Circuit Court trial date is set for April 23rd. 

Also indicted was Cesar Carmona. He faces four counts of rape, rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery charges. He too will be in court on Monday of next week for arraignment. His trial has also been set for April 23, 2013.


Both men are currently behind bars awaiting their trial date.
