The Tennessee Highway Safety Office is teaming up with law enforcement agencies in Rutherford County and the Tennessee Highway Patrol to reduce roadway fatalities through enforcement.

Representatives from the surrounding local law enforcement agencies will host a press event Friday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. to announce a summer enforcement initiative.

WGNS was told the event will take place at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to the press confernce, the Highway Patrol has announced more checkpoints for the month of July...

Also on July 22nd after nightfall in Murfreesboro...

Again, those two checkpoints will be in Rutherford County after 8 in the evening on July 22nd.
