A two-year old Smyrna girl was injured in an accidental shooting. The Smyrna Police Department reports they responded to the call just before 11 Saturday morning at a home on Snowbird Drive.
The little girl was flown by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She accidentally shot herself after gaining access to a pistol in the home. The child's injuries are non life-threatening.
While there have been no charges filed in the case, the district attorney's office has been given the information to evaluate the case.
