The state's unemployment rate remains low. In fact, near historic lows.

Numbers released from the state of Tennessee show the unemployment rate at three-point-six percent for August. That's point-one-percent higher than July.

The all time record low for unemployment in Tennessee is three-point-three percent. That rate was achieved last in January of 2018.

While more numbers are expected to be released this week, the preliminary numbers show jobs increases in hospitality and leisure industries.
