United Way's most recent Annual Report illustrated the tremendous growth and successes the organization has seen through its continuing transformation to the Community Impact Model. The new model, focusing on outcomes with a foundation of community initiatives and collaborative partnerships, has set a new standard for creating long-term, sustainable change in the areas of education, health and financially stability within Rutherford and Cannon counties. For example, nearly $450,000 were saved by Rutherford and Cannon County residents through the United Way's partnership with FamilyWize Prescription Discount Program; and 86% of low-income youth in Rutherford County found employment through a United Way program partnership.

In reference to United Way's work, Meagan Flippin, United Way President and CEO, said, "While community conditions are more complex ever, United Way is working in partnership with many organizations and institutions to address priority issues to enhance our community's quality of life. We are committed to the success of our community, and we will work tirelessly to change the odds for those we serve."

United Way has the unique ability to leverage investments for the greatest impact. For every $1 invested in United Way's operation, $12 in value of services and impact are provided to the community. The 12 to 1 return on investment was influenced by the value of programs and services such as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, 2-1-1, FamilyWize Prescription Discount Program, and more.
