United Way Celebration of Education Event to be Held August 21st

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties will host a Celebration of Education night as part of United Way’s Education Action Week on Wednesday, August 21st at 6:30 p.m. at Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro. The event is free and open to the public, and educators that show their educator’s ID will receive free school supplies.

Current confirmed participants include Murfreesboro City Schools, Rutherford County Schools, the Business Education Partnership, the Child Advocacy Center, Rutherford County Books from Birth, the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring, Students Taking a Right Stand, Kids on the Block and Senator Jim Tracy.
 
As one of United Way’s impact areas, the event will focus on the importance of education. The event will highlight partnerships in the community that build a strong education system. The space is provided by Embassy Suites Murfreesboro.
