United Way Gets Healthy on FRIDAY!

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is partnering with Middle Tennessee State University and other local businesses to promote healthy habits in youth in Rutherford and Cannon Counties on Friday - September 13, 2013.

Teams will refurbish six different playgrounds at Wee Care Day Care, Smyrna Elementary School, Smyrna Primary School, LaVergne Primary School, Roy Waldron School and Christiana Elementary School. Volunteers will arrive at the locations at 1:30 in the afternoon and work into the late afternoon hours. The work is scheduled to wrap up by 5pm.

The program also consists of collecting and putting together healthy snacks for at risk youth in our community.

Details:

The volunteering will take place on September 13, 2013 from 11:30 AM- 5 PM.  All volunteers will be provided with a free lunch before they volunteer.
