WGNS is continuing to follow the Murfreesboro Police Department's investigation into a body being found inside a Murfreesboro Apartment on Monday afternoon. We have confirmed the person who was found inside the apartment was shot to death. The victims’ name has been confirmed as well, but police are withholding that information until family members have been notified.

Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans told WGNS that officers responded to 1306 Bradyville Pike (Stones Creek Apartments) apartment G-53 in reference to a burglary on Monday. When police arrived at the apartment they discovered a male who was deceased inside the unit.  As noted, the subject was shot to death.

The police department is asking that anyone with information should call the Criminal Investigations Division at 893-2717 or Crimestoppers at 893-STOP(7867).
