Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews plan to shift traffic again on Memorial Boulevard (SR 96) in Murfreesboro.  Weather permitting, crews have tentatively scheduled to start work THIS Thursday, March 27 and it could take several days to completely shift the traffic.

Thursday - March 27 through Tuesday - April 1, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., there will be alternating lane closures on Old Fort Parkway eastbound and westbound over the CSX Railroad just west of the intersection to install traffic attenuators and barrier rail.  Crews are now preparing to shift traffic to the north side of Memorial Blvd. to soon begin construction on the south side of Memorial Blvd.

This traffic shift is part of the project to completely reconstruct the intersection of Broad St. and Memorial Blvd./Old Fort Parkway by creating a single point urban interchange.  The project will create a new bridge on Memorial Blvd. that will cross over Broad Street.  The $17.6 million project is expected to be completely finished in early summer of 2016.
