A man convicted of murder in Murfreesboro asked the courts for a new trial, but the Tennessee Supreme Court officially denied the case from ever moving forward again.

Antonio Alexander shot and killed Nader Bahmanziari, the O'Charley's manager at the Memorial Boulevard location in 2008. Bahmanziari, a husband and a father, was killed during the robbery.

A day after the hold-up and shooting, Alexander was arrested at International Paper where he was employed. He was eventually convicted for the murder of Bahmanziari and sentenced to life in prison.

Alexander later contended that his right to due process was violated when the trial court failed to sequester the tentatively selected jury prior to the beginning of the trial. The man also claims that he received ineffective assistance of counsel.

Alexander will remain in prison until he dies. He is currently incarcerated at a Special Needs facility in Nashville. The court case is now closed for good.
