The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash on State Route 840 in Rutherford County. It happened at 11:20 Sunday morning (5/4/2013) around mile marker 62.  36-year old Cathy McAllister of Murfreesboro was killed. There were six juveniles in the 1999 Chevrolet Venture van, and everyone was wearing a safety belt.

According to THP Trooper Dana Vann, McAllister's van was westbound on State Route 840 when she lost control of the vehicle. It swerved into the median, flipped at least twice and landed on the roof. 

Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson Jennifer Donnals reported to WGNS that the six passengers were all females listing Lebanon, Tennessee as their home and were ages 7, 11, two 12 year olds, 14 and 15.

Again, the driver of the van that flipped on State Route 840 at 11:20 Sunday morning was killed. She was identified as Cathy McAllister of Murfreesboro. The deadly crash is under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
