A multi-state manhunt is over for a 23-year old Hamilton County man, who is suspected of shooting and killing his mother and her friend.

A body believed to be that of Casey Lawhorn has been found in Mississippi.

Casey Lawhorn, who is also a former MTSU student, is accused of the murder of Vi Lawhorn and Avery Gaines in East Ridge Sunday.

He admitted to the murders in a long Facebook post, which has now been taken down. In the posts, he reportedly had a play-by-play of sorts of what happened before, during and after the shootings.

Lawhorn also reportedly threatened to take his own life. In his social media posts, he stated he's been suicidal since late high school and was headed toward "unavoidable tragedy" since his time at MTSU.

Lawhorn was in Murfreesboro from 2013 to 2016 as a political science major at Middle Tennessee State.

The vehicle he was in was spotted in Vossburg, Mississippi. However, he was no where to be found. But again, reports indicate his body has been found.
