Murfreesboro Police are investigating another shooting at an apartment. This time, it was Student Quarters Apartments (920 Greenland Drive) and it's now a murder investigation.

Sgt. Kyle Evans tells NewsRadio WGNS at 1:49 Thursday afternoon, officers responded to a shooting outside the 100 building in the courtyard.

When officers arrived, they discovered 22-year old man was found shot multiple times.

Lifeflight was requested, but couldn't fly due to the rainy weather. The victim was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. The victim, as reported by Evans, did die from the injuries.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male, about six-feet tall with a thin build, short hair and wearing khaki pants, a white shirt and black coat at the time of the shooting.
