We have more news on a fire that occurred on Wednesday at the Regal Inn on South Church Street. Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the blaze shortly after 1:00 A.M.

Upon arrival, the crews discovered heavy smoke coming from Room 410. The fire was extinguished quickly. A Murfreesboro Police incident report filed by a responding officer labeled the fire as a suspected arson.

A message on a mirror in the hotel room stated, “What comes around goes around. I have always been faithful unlike you.” Police tried to make contact with the woman who was named on the hotel registry, but were unsuccessful. The case is being investigated by the fire department.
