Detective Abbott reports Dennis Kado was found to have a swollen area on his forehead and bruising. He was taken to St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, where he had emergency surgery but died two days later. Dr. Adel Lewis with the Tennessee State Medical Examiner's Office did an autopsy last Friday and reports Dennis Kado died of blunt force trauma and the death was ruled a homicide.

The report went on to say the man's son was getting in the way of emergency personnel and was intoxicated. Abbott's report also states when questioned at the scene, Jacob Kado didn't answer questions from police as to why his father had bruises.
