UPDATE: Murfreesboro Police release name of Tuesday suicide victim

Murfreesboro Police released the man's name on Wednesday morning.

The victim has been identified as 34 year old Harley David Raffaele of Murfreesboro.

The suicide victim was found hanging from the South Church Street bridge over the west bound lane of I-24 Tuesday morning around 6.

Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans confirmed the individual is believed to have committed suicide.

NewsRadio WGNS received multiple calls from residents who saw the man hanging from the bridge. Some of the callers told us that their children witnessed the same thing and they were concerned about what they saw.

Area ministers offered compassionate suggestions about what to do after you see such an incident unfold before your eyes.
