The name of the person who died in a single vehicle auto accident on Black Friday has been released by the Murfreesboro Police Department. The wreck occurred on NW Broad Street near Singer Road, which is about a half mile from the State Route 840 interchange.

60-Year old Robert Leon Jones of Murfreesboro ran off the road on Friday night and struck a tree after his vehicle went down an embankment. Jones was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police have not released details as to what caused Jones to run off the road.
