UPDATE: Names released in Memorial Day Weekend 4 Person Fatality Accident on I-24

WGNS has more news on a four person traffic fatality that occurred on May 28th. The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released the names of those involved in the accident that happened on I-24 in Smyrna.

A 2009 Dodge Charger traveling at about 70 miles per hour towards Nashville on Interstate 24 left the roadway and struck a state sign around mile marker 66. The car then hit a concrete wall and overturned in the Eastbound lane. The Charger caught fire killing all four in the vehicle.

Killed was driver Marcus Doss from Nashville. Doss was 30-years old when killed in the single vehicle crash that happened at about 5:20 Saturday (5/28/16) morning.

Passengers 29 year old Duan Brown from Hermitage, 29 year old Raymond Greer, Jr. from Nashville and 38 year old LaShawn Booker of Nashville all died in the Memorial Day weekend wreck.

What caused the car to run off the interstate is still unknown, according to Sgt. Travis Plotzer with the Highway Patrol.
