Here's an update on the fatal I-24 motorcycle vs truck crash that occured at 4:01 this past Wednesday (4/11/2018) afternoon.

55-year old Steven Cluett of Franklin was traveling westbound at mile marker 88 on his 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was traveling toward Nashville, and had just passed the Buchanan Road exit when the three-vehicle crash occured.

Cluett died at the scene, and Trooper Whitney Stookesbury gathered evidence from the three vehicles that were involved.

The other two vehicles were both trucks. One was a large 2006 Sterling LT-950 straight truck driven by 39-year old Billy Jack Moon of Elberton, Georgia. The other truck was a 2016 Chevy Silverado driven by 57-year old James D. Lawrence, Jr. of Eagleville. They were both wearing seat belts and did not receive any injuries.

Lieutenant Travis Plotzer with the Highway Patrol's Nashville District told NewsRadio WGNS that the investigation into this fatal crash continues, and more information will be announced later.
