The locally famous Polynesian fare is now gone. The Omni Hut in Smyrna closed their doors to business on Friday after lunch - 10/12/18. Since the announcement earlier this week, lines have been out the door and traffic has lined Lowery Street.

It's aloha for Omni Hut. Owner Polly Walls confirms the Polynesian restaurant that's been a Smyrna staple for almost 60-years is closing for good.
In a Facebook post, she confirmed the rumors of closing were true and their last day of operation will be this Friday.
You'll recall the restaurant closed last April due to a staffing shortage. They reopened for a lunch buffet in July.
Lunch is served from 11am until 2pm - and again their last day of operation will be Friday (10/12/18).
