A 21 year old man who was involved in a motorcycle accident this past May in Murfreesboro is doing much better, but still in need of prayer, according to Andrew Patrick Ahrens father.

Murfreesboro Police originally told WGNS that Ahrens wrecked near the intersection of Medical Center Parkway and Warren Street. He was flown by Life Flight Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville where he spent weeks recovering to the point of where he could be transferred to a specialized rehabilitation center in Georgia.

The accident occurred as Ahrens was headed home from work to meet his girlfriend. She had evidently fixed the young man dinner, but he never made it home after losing control of his 2001 Suzuki GS-6 motorcycle and crashing.

The 21 year old suffered severe head trauma and multiple fractures after hitting a curb at the intersection head first.

Ahrens father is Murfreesboro resident Andrew Kotulak. He recently posted on his sons GoFundMe page that he has made amazing progress the past few weeks and has since been released from the Shephard Center in Georgia.
