Civil rights attorney and Employment Lawyer George Barrett along with former United States Attorney Jerry Martin will hold a press conference Wednesday. They'll discuss their investigation of the circumstances of the mass termination of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) employees. According to press reports, nearly four hundred terminations were announced in early July and more mass terminations are expected. Barrett and Martin have been contacted by effected employees and are investigating whether VUMC’s termination of them violated any state and federal laws.
