Felony charges could be filed in a credit card fraud case that unfolded at the Auto Outlet on Broad Street in Murfreesboro, if charges are pursued.

Reports from the MPD (Murfreesboro Police Department) indicate that a subject used two different Visa cards to buy a vehicle. The total amount spent on the cards added up to over $6,000. Shortly after the vehicle was driven away, the Auto Outlet received word that the cards were fraudulent.

The suspect in the case is from Indiana and he later spoke with the car dealer and told them the cards were stolen after the car was purchased, therefore the cards and the purchase was cancelled. The subject later told the manager at the dealer that he was nine minutes away to pay for the Toyota Camry he was driving. However, he never showed up.

So far, warrants for the subjects arrest have not been obtained.
