Volunteer Firefighters in Rutherford County Win Award for the Most Training Hours in the State

Volunteer firefighters from Rutherford County Fire and Rescue earned a state award for the completion of the most training hours by a volunteer fire department in Tennessee , said Mayor Ernest Burgess.

Chief Larry Farley received the original award at the annual Tennessee Fire Chiefs meeting recently in Nashville.

Director Jeff Elliott of the Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Academy re-presented the award to Chief Farley during the August meeting of the Rutherford County Commission.

Mayor Burgess congratulated the volunteer firefighters for the training award.
