With early voting only halfway through, Rutherford County's Interim Election Administrator Rhonda McFerrin told WGNS News, "At this time, we've already surpassed the 2012 turnout."

McFerrin warned that with the ballot being larger than normal, 14-pages for some voters, it takes more time. She noted, "If you wait for election day (August 7th), the lines will likely be long and the process slow."

Early voting at the Rutherford County Election Commission (south side of Murfreesboro square) is open weekdays (M-F) from 7AM-7PM.

Other EARLY VOTING locations are open M-F 10AM-6PM.
Election Commission Annex (Vine Street, just off Maney Ave.)
   Blackman Elementary School
SportsCom (Memorial Blvd. @ DeJarnette Ln.)
   Tennessee Rehabilitation Center (Smyrna, TN)
   La Vergne Civic Auditorium

Early voting is also available every Saturday at all locations from 8:00AM until noon.

If you wait for election day, the poles will be open 7:00AM until 7:00PM on Thursday, August 7th. When the last vote is cast, WGNS will begin its 67th year of local coverage of the election "live" from the Rutherford County Election Commission office.
